The whole routine is clean, dry, spray — and then the same three again when it needs refreshing.
Wash your hands, then gently clean the tattoo using a mild, fragrance-free, pH-balanced antibacterial or antimicrobial soap. Rinse thoroughly so the surface is clean and free from excess plasma, ink or other products.
Pat the tattoo dry with a clean, disposable paper towel — pat, do not rub. Allow the surface to finish air-drying until it appears completely dry and matte before applying.
Shake the can. Hold it about 12 inches (25–30 cm) from the tattoo and apply a light, even coat. Allow each coat to dry for about 30–40 seconds before applying another.
Clean, dry and reapply every 24 hours during the initial aftercare period — and again after showering, getting the tattoo wet, or heavy sweating. Never spray over a wet, sweaty or unclean surface.

Use Tattoo Spray only during the initial aftercare phase, for no more than approximately 4–5 days. Once the tattoo is no longer weeping and the surface has closed, stop using the spray and transition to a light, fragrance-free moisturiser as needed. Follow the final product instructions and contact your artist or a qualified healthcare professional if you have concerns about the tattoo.
Tattoo Spray is not intended to remain in place after the area has been thoroughly wet or heavily sweated on. Gently clean the tattoo, pat it completely dry, allow it to air-dry, and then reapply the appropriate number of light coats.
Do not layer other aftercare products or wraps over Tattoo Spray during the initial spray cycle unless the final product instructions or a qualified professional specifically direct otherwise. After the spray cycle ends, transition to a light, fragrance-free moisturiser.

It depends on the tattoo. Fine-line or simple work takes 1–2 light coats; heavier black-and-grey takes 2–3; full saturation, heavy colour or blackout takes 4–5. Allow each light coat to dry before adding the next.
